My Project summary:My Digital Pedagogy Project is to create a quick training regime for my wide receivers to work on over the summer. Coaches are under heavy restrictions of how much we are allowed to work with the players. This makes hudl.com and youtube invaluable for coaches. If, we can provide our student athletes with a web based individual tutorial and visual skills development training program, we can accelerate the learning curve. This allows our student athletes to grow with our instruction on their own time. Hudl.com can accelerate this by providing the students with visual aids on their own performances accompanied by videos of skills to work on. This will allow the student athletes to see what they are doing and what they need to be doing. To the left is a link to demonstrate how to use hudl.com to provide a list of plays for the student athlete by my colleague on this project, Rob Collins. The other link is a solid video of skills to give another point of reference to my instructional videos that I have created to teach my wide receivers.

Individual Summer Skills Training for Wide Receivers
Catch with your hands away from your bodyThis is often an awkward skill to learn at first but is the difference between average wide receivers and truly great wide receivers.
Continuing your routes through the catchContinuing through your route and the completion creates separation from the defender. This not only gives you a better chance to catch the ball, but allows you to turn a simple reception into big yards after the catch.
Separation in your cutsSeparation is the purpose of precise route running and it begins with forcing your defender to open his hips in the opposite direction that you are going.
